Merill is ne of the best defenseman in Lacrosse proven by the fact he has won 4 defensive player of the year awards in the MLL along with one defensive player of the year award in NLL. Merill is the all time ground ball leader in the MLL along with being a member of the 2006 Canadian team that won the world championship in 2006 a tournament where he was named the top defenseman. Merill has had good start to 2014 with the Philadelphia Wings recording 7 assists and 52 looseballs. Expect Merill to bey the cornerstone of the Canadian Defense.

Logan Schuss

The 2013 first overall pick in the NLL draft will be a dark horse to make this Canadian team due to the wealth of experienced players in the country. Schuss has not disappointed in 2014 for the Swarm as he has 16 goals and 15 assists in just 9 games for the Swarm so far this year. Schuss was force in the WLA in 2013 winning the rookie of the year award as he had 56 points in 12 WLA games and led the New Westminster Salmonbellies in scoring.
