Three CLax Trades Before Draft

Three Canadian Lacrosse League teams make trades heading into the combine and draft . These trades saw all three fill some needs and get better as well as put them in better spots for tomorrows draft. Niagara Lock Monsters  acquired Steve Fryer who is in Toronto Rock camp right now. Steve is going against Brandon Miller and Nick Rose for a roster spot. This was a great move by the Lock Monsters which looks like last years goalie Dave DiRuscio will make the Buffalo Bandits roster.

Niagara also received  Jamie Rooney who is a NLL vet and still a member of the Buffalo Bandits. They also get former Edmonton Rush and current Six Nation Riverman player  Brock Boyle. A long with  first second, third, and eighth round draft picks in this years draft. These picks come  from the Southwest Cyclops for goalie  for Grant Crawley and   Siena alum Bryan Neufeld. Bryan had a great 2014 season  in Clax.  The Cycolps may get back Mike Burke who was cut by the NLL New England Black Wolves but still may be without Jimmy Purves who is in Rock training camp.  Getting a top offensive threat like Neufeld can really give this team a boost. Southwest also got players  Jordan Daradick and former Buffalo Bandit Kevin Brownell, and a pick in all the first four rounds as well as the  twelfth.

Niagara also got a former Toronto Rock player in Craig England along with more picks  the 5th and 13th overall. They will be sending Scott Gamble a long with Dustin Dunn and the 24th overall pick to Durham. This move was made to make Durham’s defense stronger adding some veteran CLax players to this roster. This will be Scotts  fourth season and he is also a teammate of  Dustin in the MSL with the Brooklin Redman. All these trades make it for a exciting offseason tune in for the draft to watch some more CLax moves go down.
