USLL Announces Team in Maine

The United States Lacrosse League (USLL) announces today that it has signed their first franchise in league history, the Maine Moose Trax.

The Moose Trax and will play its home games out of the 6,733-seat Cumberland County Civic Center in Portland, Maine.

“Portland has been a potential lacrosse market for many years, and we’re very fortunate to match a lacrosse-hungry community and a first-class facility with an ownership group committed to the success of our league,” said USLL commissioner Anthony Chase.

The Maine Moose Trax organization is owned by a local investment group. The group is led by Maine native, Joshua Plowman. Plowman’s investment group is comprised of civic leaders as well as local advocates of lacrosse.

“We are very excited to bring professional box lacrosse to the state of Maine” said Joshua Plowman. “This state has a great lacrosse community that deserves to see this sport played on a professional level with the USLL.

“This has been a dream of mine and I am excited to see how our community embraces their new team” continued Plowman.
