The Philadelphia Wings of the National Lacrosse League (NLL) have agreed to terms with goalie Evan Kirk, forwards Kevin Ross, Michael McLellan, Bill McGlone, Kyle Buchanan, Tracey Kelusky and Ethan Farrell, defenders AJ Masson and Pat Heim, and transition players Jordan Hall and Ryan Hotaling for the 2014 season.
Kirk enters his first season with the Philadelphia Wings after being acquired this off-season in a trade with the Minnesota Swarm. He spent two seasons in Minnesota where he earned a 77% save rating along with a 12.08 goals against average. Over his career, Kirk owns a 7-7 record and has tallied 548 career saves.
Kevin Ross returns for his second season with the Wings, his seventh in the NLL. Ross contributed 53 points (20 goals, 33 assists) and forced 62 loose balls in his initial season in Philadelphia. A graduate of Canisius College, he appeared in all 16 games in 2013.
McLellan enters his eighth season in the NLL and his second with the Wings. Last year he appeared in 12 games recording seven points (four assists, three goals) and forced eight loose balls.
Bill McGlone, a Ridley, PA native, makes his return to the Wings after taking off the 2013 season. 2014 marks his seventh season in the NLL. McGlone provides depth on offense, owning a career stat line of 125 points (62 goals, 63 assists).
Kyle Buchanan will begin his first season with the Wings after participating in their free agent camp in November. Buchanan made his NLL debut during the 2013 season with the Stealth. He recorded 22 points (18 assists, 4 goals) during 10 games.
13-year veteran Tracey Kelusky brings his offensive firepower in his first year with the Wings. Kelusky has 776 career points (415 assists, 361 goals). Last season he appeared in seven games with Buffalo.
Farrell finished his first season in the NLL with three goals, two assists, and forced 12 loose balls. The Nantucket, MA native played in five games. Farrell was a NCAA Division III All-American at Lynchburgh University.
With the 12th overall pick of the NLL Entry Draft, the Wings selected AJ Masson out of the University of Vermont. Masson played four seasons for the University of Vermont Catamounts where he was named a member of the 2013 NEILA senior scholar athlete team.
An alumnus of Penn State University, Pat Heim appeared in 15 games for the Wings in 2013. Heim contributed on defense by forcing 33 loose balls. He also served as a face-off specialist by winning nearly 30% of the face-offs he attempted. J
Jordan Hall returns for his second season with the Wings and seventh in the NLL. Last season he appeared in 16 games and recorded 43 points (29 assists, 14 goals). A graduate of the University of Delaware, Hall factors to be a main contributor on offense.
Ryan Hotaling enters his first year with the Philadelphia Wings after spending last season with the Colorado Mammoth. While he appeared in six games, he recorded 26 loose balls and won 40% of the face-offs he participated in.
