WINGS COME TO TERMS WITH ROOKIES JAMES DELANEY AND DON ALTON
The Philadelphia Wings, of the National Lacrosse League (NLL), have agreed to terms with draft picks James Delaney and Don Alton. Both were selected by the Wings in the 2013 NLL entry draft.
The Wings selected forward James Delaney with pick number 19 overall and goalie Don Alton with pick number 33 overall, respectively.
Delaney was a midfielder at Seton Hill University in Greensburg, PA and plays the position of forward for the Nanaimo Timbermen of the Western Lacrosse Association in Canada. In 2013 Delaney was voted to the USILA All-America first team and Most Outstanding Midfielder.
Alton has spent the last two years with the Six Nations Arrows of the Ontario Lacrosse Association Junior A league. He posted a .791 save percentage and allowed just 5.81 goals per game in 2013. Alton looks to add depth at goalie for the Wings roster in 2014.
