Billings Remains Unsigned by Rock

The Toronto Rock are on a roll; the team is 8-1 and comfortably in first place in the east. However, one mystery surrounds the team; where is Garrett Billings?

Billings’ agent tweeted earlier in the month that the forward was cleared to play in the National Lacrosse League. He tore his ACL against the Vancouver Stealth last season and was projected to return in February. However, one problem remains.

The team doesn’t have their star signed to a contract.

Technically, Billings remains a free agent, but the Rock do own his rights. The way the Toronto offense has rolled, they don’t seem to be in any rush to bring him back. However, one of the league’s best players remains on the shelf.

It hasn’t been clear if there have been issues with negotiations, but it has been speculated on social media, and some reporters have even tweeted about if the Vancouver Stealth would trade for the Langley native.

The Rock are in Colorado this week, and as of now, there is no news on whether the club will re-sign their superstar.
