CLax Stories to Watch in Week Twelve

As the 2013 CLAX regular season winds to a close here are some of the top stories to watch as the regular season plays out.

3. Can Brampton win a playoff Bye- As the final games wind down Brampton has a chance at finishing second in the league if they can win their remaining two games and Toronto loses to Barrie in their season finale. The Inferno have no easy task as they have to play Niagara and the Iroquois Ironmen in their two remaining games. Brampton will need to play their hearts out if they hope to get a bye.

2. Who will win the League scoring title- As we head into the final weeks of the season Niagara’s Corey Fowler sits atop the league with 67 points but his team mate Andrew Potter sits right behind him with 65 points. Two Oshweken Demons then round out the top four as Delby Powless sits third with 61 points and Wayne Vanevery sits fourth with 59. Any of these four could take the scoring title.  It will be an interesting battle to watch as one bad week to sink any of these players.

1. Who Will gain the final Playoff spot – As it stand right now the Barrie Blizzard sit in sixth and hold the final playoff spot as they hold the tiebreaker over the Iroquois Ironmen. For the Ironmen to make the playoffs they need to win one more game than Barrie in their remaining three games. While Barrie just needs to match Iroquois win total in their final three games. Barrie’s task is not easy as they face top teams in the form of Niagara, Durham and Toronto in their final three games. While the Ironmen faceoff against Brampton, Oshweken and Durham. So only time will tell which team walks away with the final spot.
