Jaeden Gastaldo was drafted by the Colorado Mammoth on Monday night. I had the chance to speak with him, and this is what he had to say.
What was draft day like for you?
1) I have Monday’s off of school and work. I didn’t do anything really differently then I would normally. Tried to keep up with school work and went to the gym. Then I watched the draft on my computer.
How did you feel before the draft?
2) I was pretty excited to see if I would get drafted and to what team. I was a little nervous as the draft came closer.
Were your expectations any different?
3) I was just very happy to be drafted. There were so many good players in the draft. I tried not to have any expectations or let the mock drafts/ranking  get in my head.
Have you spoken with the Mammoth yet?
4) I got a phone call, from Steve Govett and Bob Hamley, almost instantly after my name was announced at the draft.
What are your thoughts on joining Colorado?
5) I am extremely excited to have the chance to play for the Colorado Mammoth. I have always admired the association and it would be a dream come true to play in the NLL, and in front of such a large fan base at the Pepsi center!
