NLL Draft: Chaka Bainbridge Talks Prospects

The NLL Draft is now just about six months away. About time we start previewing it, right? We’ve been looking at the top prospects in the game all month along with needs for some of the teams and draft positions.

Chaka Bainbridge is a lacrosse super agent and represents more than a few prospects who are ready for the 2014 draft. This draft is being called one of the deeper ones in a few years with talent from across North American, including a few Americans in the mix.

Logan Schuss is projected to go first overall, followed by Jason Noble, Keegan Bal, Reid Acton, Robert Church, Karson Leung and others. And those are just some of the junior prospects, the majority of them coming from British Columbia in this season’s draft.

“When Buffalo loses out and Minny gets first overall they take Logan Schuss at one (Brock Sorenson connection), then Noble goes 2, then Tor Reinholt or Robert Church depending on teams needs” said Bainbridge.

“Dillon Ward is a consideration but goalies are never really picked and no on needs a goalie at the moment.” Ward is the top goalie prospect in the draft out of Orangeville and playing with Bellarmine in NCAA, as the first dual field-box goalie in consideration since Evan Kirk who was fifth overall to Minnesota two years ago.

“Minny had no goalie, and that is rare Kirk, Vinc that’s about it. And like I said no one needs a goalie. I guess maybe Philly would use a pick on him but unlikely” Bainbridge said.
