In Lacrosse We Trust is your home for the top news on prospects in the NLL and MLL. We will take a look at at least one NLL draft prospect each week until the 2012 NLL draft.Â
Carter Bender is already a pro, playing with the Rochester Rattlers of Major League Lacrosse. Playing his college ball with the Hartford Hawks, Bender is actually a native of Caledon, Ontario.
Bender also has good box lacrosse experience, playing Junior A with the Toronto Beaches and with Burlington, and also seeing time with the MSL’s Brampton Excelsiors in their Championship season.
He has four games with Brampton this season, with four goals and six assists. Last season he played three games with two goals and one assist. In 2009 with the Toronto Beaches, he played 16 games and scored 21 goals. His last season in Junior A was 2010 with the Burlington Chiefs, where he played fifteen games and scored fourteen goals.
With Hartford, he scored thirty two goals as a midfielder in fifteen games. He also had twenty assists to have fifty two points in his senior season. Bender has played one game with Rochester, and does not have any points yet.
I have Bender as a late first round or a second round pick in the 2012 NLL draft. Stay tuned for more!
