The New England Black Wolves acquired former Minnesota Swarm captain Andrew Suitor at the NLL trade deadline. While he didn’t help them make it to the NLL playoffs, he is signed long term and was projected to be a contributing factor.
It looks like that might not be the case for a while as Suitor tore his ACL in last week’s game against the Toronto Rock.
What looks just as bad is Suitor won’t be able to play with the Peterborough Lakers this season in Major Series Lacrosse.
“Obviously, it’s a huge loss for us,” Lakers GM Paul Day said via press release. “You can’t really replace a guy with a heart like that. As a group, we’re going to have to find a way to do it.
“There is no timeline for surgery,” Day said. “It is a big hole to fill and one that all teammates will have to replace as a group. He is a heart and sole guy that will be back in even stronger on his return.”
This is Suitor’s second ACL tear in his career.
