February 24, 2022

The Saskatchewan Rush tallied another loss on Sunday afternoon, falling 12-10 to the Colorado Mammoth at Ball Arena. With a highly skilled and veteran lineup, the Mammoth secured second place in the NLL’s West Division as they approach the halfway point of the regular season with an impressive record of 6-2. But the Rush now sit at just 2-6; a far cry from the days of domination they’ve enjoyed for…

NLL: Riptide lose heartbreaker to Bandits in OT

February 2, 2022

The New York Riptide deserved better. Seventeen goals should be enough to win a lacrosse game. But not, it seems, if you’re playing the Buffalo Bandits. The Bandits took the game 18-17, and remain undefeated at 5-0 while the Riptide are still stuck at just one win and in last place. After an amazing fourth quarter comeback that saw the Riptide score six goals in a row for a 17-14…

While Halifax prevailed over Toronto, the Panther City Lacrosse Club was victorious over the New York Riptide 13-12. NLL: Teat’s hat trick not enough as Riptide fall to Knighthawks 13-12

December 7, 2021

Nobody expected it to take long, and it didn’t. Just four-and-a-half minutes into the first quarter, Jeff Teat made his mark on the National Lacrosse League. Teat was checked to the floor, held onto the ball as he got up and got around a defender before putting a jump shot into the net. “I got a great up-seal, went underneath, almost fell, but you just have to keep going,” Teat…

November 18, 2021

We’re dipping into the archives today to relive THAT game – you know the one. Sunday, January 19th, 2020 at Wells Fargo Center. The Philadelphia Wings and Rochester Knighthawks combined for 103 penalty minutes in a 12-4 Wings’ win. Things got a little nuts in the third period with several different scrums. We love lacrosse for the skill, but a little silliness isn’t always a bad thing. Click the link…

Editorial: Lacrosse needs more Andrew Suitors

November 4, 2021

NLL games will be a little less meaningful this season without Andrew Suitor on the floor. The heart-and-soul player announced his retirement from the game last month. Suitor scored 58 goals and 63 assists throughout his 10-year-career – pretty good for a defenseman who wasn’t expected to be a big contributor on the scoreboard. He had a knack for transition-style highlight-reel goals that made him memorable. He might have won…
