Bandits Trade Jimmy Purves to Rochester

According to multiple reports, the Buffalo Bandits have traded transition man Jimmy Purves to the Rochester Knighthawks for a second round draft pick.

Purves has played in eight games this season for the Bandits and has put together three points; two goals and an assist. They signed him to a one year deal before the season.

Purves also has 26 penalty minutes on the season and 25 loose balls. Meanwhile, the Knighthawks have been most active on this NLL Trade Deadline with two moves. First, trading Casey Powell to Colorado and now acquiring Purves.

The Knighthawks picked up defender Jon Sullivan for Powell and now a transition man in Purves, so it seems like the Knighthawks have a different approach than before when they stacked up on offense.

What is interesting for the Bandits is Purves was their only left handed transition man. For the Knighthawks, they have Brad Self and Matt Hummel at that position. Hummel has only one career game, so Purves might take over that spot.
