Canadian Lacrosse Association Issues New Fighting Rules, And No One Likes It

In case you missed this with all of the MLL news happening yesterday, the Canadian Lacrosse Association decided it would be a good idea to now eject players for fighting. Essentially, that’s banning fighting. Players, media, and fans do not like this, as you can see below:

Those are some players in the NLL, MSL and WLA, so high profile players are already speaking out. The only leagues where this rule is not in affect is CLax and the NLL, who do not play under CLA rules, however, MSL and the WLA do.

WLA commissioner Casey Cook has already said that the league is likely to follow the rules of the league, though there is no doubt that players could not be happy to hear that, judging by the general reaction.

The CLA doesn’t seem likely to change their stance on this, saying that they want to make a stronger stance and have never condoned fighting.

Well, players are not happy to hear that at all, and neither are many fans.
