Casey Jackson Declares for NLL Draft

In Lacrosse We Trust has learned that top NLL prospect Casey Jackson has declared for the 2014 NLL draft. Jackson, who was not on our Top 50 list due to it debuting before he declared, would have been ranked at #11 on the list.

Jackson, a native of Victora, British Columbia, had 54 points in 17 games with the Burnaby Lakers of the Western Lacrosse Association. It was his career high in Sr A in three seasons with the Lakers.

His career high in points overall came in 2010 with the Victoria Junior Shamrocks when he added 88 points. He has 205 career points at thr junior level with Victoria and Coquitlam. That 2010 year put him on the BCJALL first team.

This season he was 8th in scoring in the WLA Senior Series. Jackson gets most of his points from assists but also knows how to bury goals. He has 148 career WLA points in just three seasons.

“I think my best strength as a lacrosse player would be is my learning ability and the fact that I wanna know every detail about this game and to become the smartest player on the floor or field.” Jackson told us last year in our draft profile series.

Jackson was going to be in last year’s draft before he decided to stay in school and this year declared. In this year’s draft he has a chance to even sneak into the late first round.
