According to multiple reports, Buffalo Bandits defenseman Chris White is set to sign a one year deal with the Toronto Rock. Â White had been the captain of the Bandits.
White was an unrestriced free agent, and according to sources, the Bandits matched the offer of the Rock to White. However, he chose to sign with Toronto.
In eighteen games with the Bandits last season, White had six points, all assists. He had fifty nine loose balls on the season along with twenty seven penalty minutes. Over his career, White has sixty points.
The Rock have an aging defense with Phil Sanderson and Bill Greer, while Bruce Codd retired earlier in this off season to become an assistant coach with the Calgary Roughnecks, joining the staff of Curt Malwasky.
