The Barrie Blizzard look to capture their first victory in their program history as they have started 0-2 in their inaugural season. The Blizzard will take on a very rested Brampton Inferno as they have not seen game action since January 26.
Leading the way for the Blizzard is Brooklin Redmen (Major Series Lacrosse) with seven goals and five assists for 12 points finding him a spot in the top 25 scoring leaders. Alongside Wiles is Mike Teeter and Reed Board who have helped out on the offensive side of the ball. Teeter has posted five goals in four games while former Brock Badger Reed Board has a team best of seven assists while also adding a goal for eight points.
The Inferno are lead by a deadly duo of Ryan Campbell and John McClure. The two have each found the back of the cage eight times while adding six assists.
Goaltender Jay Preece has also played a big role in the offensive success as he sits ninth in points with five assists. Despite his ability to push the transition, Preece has struggled as of late in between the cage. Preece has the second worst save percentage with .713 and a third worse GAA with 16.50. Preece has the ability to be a top goaltender but will need to step up and make the big save when needed.
A win for either team can be a major boost as both teams are looking to turn their season around.
