The Canadian Lacrosse League opens their 2013 campaign today when the Ohsweken Demons face the Iroquois Ironmen in a rematch of last season’s championship game.
Ohsweken traded their best offensive player Chris Attwood to the Ironmen this off season where he will be playing with his brother, goaltender Mike Attwood.
Former NLL players such as Roger Vyse, Cory Bomberry and Tom Montour. Both theams have very strong offenses and were in the championship game last season.
Chris Attwood led the league in scoring with 71 points last year for the Demons and now brings that talent to the Ironmen. Brad Levick also brought 55 points to the Demons.
Leading the Ironmen last season was Mitch Naticoke with 38 points on the season. The top two goaltenders in the league were Mike Attwood and the Demons’ goalie Jeff Powless who both had goals against averages under 12.
