Clax Power Rankings: Week One

The Clax season began this weekend with four teams in action so here are this week’s power rankings.

1. Oshweken Demons- The Demons vault up to this position after convincing win  over the Iroqouis Ironmen 18-15. The fact the Demons cut still keep pace without Chris Atwood shows their offensive depth and how dangerous they are.

2. Durham TurfDogs-  The TurfDogs spoiled the Toronto Shooting Stars party as they won their opener 11-10. Shan Scott stepped up for the TurfDogs and scored four goals and one assist for a five point night and proved the TurfDogs will once again be a force to be reckoned with.

3. Iroquois Ironmen- The Ironmen made a splash before the season began acquiring reigning MOP Chris Atwood. Atwood was stellar in the teams first match against the Demons as he had 8 points. The Ironmen came up just short against the Demons but proved they will be a top team this year due to their explosive offense.

4. Toronto Shooting Stars- The Stars were able to keep pace with the TurfDogs in their first meeting but unfortunately came up on the losing end. The Stars showed potential and it will be interesting to see what they can do in their next game.  Aaron Grayson was the star for Toronto with four points and helped to power the Toronto offense.

5. Brampton Inferno- The Inferno have yet to play but their offseason acquisitions land them this spot. The Inferno open their season this weekend against Oshweken.

6. Niagara Lock Monsters- Niagara has yet to play but their team on paper is one to be feared. Niagara open their season this weekend against the Iroquois Ironmen.

7. Barrie Blizzard- The Blizzard have yet to play and will have to wait another week to show what they can do as their season will not begin until Saturday January 26th against Oshweken.
