Third Star – Aaron Grayson of the Toronto Shooting Stars
Grayson had a solid weekend for Toronto notching nine points in two games. Friday was his best game of week eight as he scored three goals and added three assists in a 13-10 victory over the Brampton Inferno. On Sunday he tallied three assists as the Shooting Stars squeaked out a win versus the Iroquois Ironmen. Grayson now has 29 points on the season in just six games played.
Second Star – Shane Scott of the Durham TurfDogs
Although his TurfDogs lost both games this weekend, Shane Scott was a dominate force in week eight.
He had one goal in Monday’s 11-7 loss to the first place Shooting Stars but his big game occured two days prior. Scott had a career high five goals on Saturday in a tough 13-12 loss to the Niagara Lock Monsters while also adding one assist. He was scoring from everywhere and was the best player on the turf. In Lacrosse We Trust caught up with Scott after the game and you can watch the post-game interview on our youtube channel at http://www.youtube.com/user/theinternetsportshow.
First Star – Alex Kedoh Hill of the Iroquois Ironmen
Kedoh Hill was phenomenal on Friday as the Ironmen picked up their first win of the season in a 17-14 win over their rink sharing rivals the Ohsweken Demons. The Canadian Lacrosse League rookie scored four goals in the victory and also chipped in with five assist for a nine point night. His previous game high was four points, a feat he’s accomplished in every CLax game that he’s suited up for. The season is still young but Kedoh Hill should definitely be a contender for rookie of the year.
