Week three of the 2015 Clax season may have featured one game on the schedule, but there was no shortage of stars in the Ohsweken and SouthWest showdown at the Iroquois Lacrosse Arena. Pat Gregoire made his picks for the ILWT Clax Three Stars.
Third Star- Eric Pitre- Southwest Cyclops
Rookie Eric Pitre netted a goal and an assist in the 10-9 loss to the Cyclops on Friday. It only took two games for the former Toronto Beaches Jr.A Captain to record his first Clax goal.
Second Star- Rodd Squire- Ohsweken Demons
Rodd Squire tallied a pair of goals, including the game winner against Ohsweken’s 10-9 win over Southwest on Friday night. Squire also added an assist on the night, bringing his season point total to six.
First Star- Torrey Vanevery- Ohsweken Demons
Torrey Vanevery buried four goals in the Demons 10-9 win over the Cyclops. Of his four goals, Vanevery buried two of them in the fourth frame to help lift the Demons to their second win of the year.
