With week 15 of the NLL season in the books here are the three stars of the week.
3. Zach Greer: Greer led the Edmonton offense to a big win on the weekend over Rochester. Despite falling behind 4-0 early Greer rallied the Rush and helped them climb back for a 14-10 win. Greer had four goals and four assists on the night. Greer helped his team to a huge win as they now just need a win against Calgary to win the NLL Regular Season title.
2. Callum Crawford- Crawford has been on a tear recently for the swarm and once again a huge night as the Swarm beat Colorado 17-12. Crawford three goals and six assists on the night for an impressive nine points. Crawford helped his team secure a playoff berth with their win over the mammoth. Crawford now sits third in the league in overall scoring and third in assists overall in the league. Crawfords continued strong play earns him the second star of the week.
1.Shawn Evans- Despite the Roughnecks losing 15-14 to Rochester, Shawn Evans once again showed why he is one of the best players in the NLL. Evans had three goals and seven assists on the night for an impressive ten points. Evans has been an offensive force all season and sits first in the league in scoring and first in assists. Evans also now sits just two points away from setting a new franchise record for most points in a season the previous record being 104 points which is held by former Roughneck Josh Sanderson and Lewis Ratcliff. Evans with his ten point night showed why he is one of the best in the NLL and deserving of this week’s first star honors.
