The Philadelphia Wings (3-3) start their final back to back weekend with a trip to face the Toronto Rock (2-3). All time the Wings are 14-23 against the Rock (6-11 on road).
The Rock are led by Stephan LeBlanc (13 goals) and Garrett Billings (32 points). Captain Colin Doyle and Josh “Shooter” Sanderson have seven and eight goals respectively. Goaltender Nick Rose has a 11.40 GAA and a save percentage of 76.70. The Rock are undefeated at home this season so far.
The Wings come into the ACC riding a two game winning streak, defeating the Stealth 15-9 for their first home win of the season. Jordan Hall (16 goals) and Kyle Buchanan (14 goals) lead the Wings offense. Veteran Tracey Kelusky has shown the leadership he is known for by chipping in 11 goals. Goaltender Evan Kirk has been playing stellar in goal by posting a 10.85 GAA, and a save percentage of 77.8.
The Wings did get a huge boost earlier today as goaltender Brandon Miller was signed and will be joining the team this weekend. Having Miller and Kirk between the pipes gives the Wings unbelievable depth in the net. Miller and Kirk were teammates this past summer helping the Six Nation Chiefs win the Mann Cup.
The fans are obviously excited to see that Miller is signed and will give him a warm Philadelphia welcome when the team returns home for Saturday nights contest against the Edmonton Rush.
