In an interview with the British Columbia newspaper The Province this week, Toronto Rock forward Garrett Billings said that he thinks he should be back from his ACL tear on February 13th.
“It’s been weird for me,” said Billings, admitting he’s getting antsy for action. “I wouldn’t say that it was easy last year, but I knew I couldn’t play. This year, I’m getting closer and closer every week.”
Last season Billings tore his ACL at the Langley Events Centre in a game against the Vancouver Stealth, whom the Rock face this week, and Billings said he is starting to feel closer to being able to play.
Colin Doyle, the Toronto captain, is out for the entire season after shoulder surgery, so the Rock offense could use a boost. Before he got injured last season, Billings was on pace for an MVP.
