New York, NY – The Professional Lacrosse League (PLL) announced today that Charlotte Copperheads forward Matt Hickman has been named the Professional Lacrosse League Player of the Week for the period ending September 16, 2012.
The Darnestown, Maryland native had seven points in Charlotte’s season opener last week notching at least one point in each quarter.  The 5-7, 208-pound forward finished last week’s game with four goals and three assists to go along with three loose balls.
Hickman, a two-time All-American at Salisbury, concluded his four-year career with 195 points; his 142 goals ranks eighth all-time in school history. Hickman was named to the USILA All-American First Team in 2008, where he led the Sea Gulls during his senior season in goals (61), points (94), shots on goal (118) and was second on the team in assists (33).
