Last week the Rochester Knighthawks signed forward Todd Kozak. Kozak, 23, from Mississauga, is a veteran of NLL combines, having attended in both 2013 and 2014, so the Knighthawks coaches have been studying him for awhile.
Kozak was a prolific scorer at the junior box level, scoring 180 points in 95 games over five seasons. Kodak spent time with the Edge senior elite team learning the field game, and earning a spot on the Limestone College roster. He spent four years at the South Carolina school, earning 20 points in 30 games, including two power play goals.
In parts of four seasons with the Brampton Excelsiors of the MSL, Kozak has tallied six points. He has also played a year with the Oakville Titans Sr. B team, tallying 18 points in six games in 2014.
The three-peat champion Knighthawks have a plethora of returning forwards so Kozak should look forward to an ultra competitive training camp. On this team, even making the practice squad in his first year will be a big triumph for the free agent.
