The Chesapeake Bayhawks and Denver Outlaws made a minor trade on Thursday, swapping away rookies. The Outlaws acquired soon-to-be Denver Pioneers grad Erik Adamson while the Bayhawks get Loyola Greyhound Nikko Pontrello. Adamson was the Bayhawks first draft pick this past January when they used the 14th overall pick to draft the Californian. In a move that dramatically upgrades the defensive unit, the Chesapeake Bayhawks have acquired perennial All-Star Kyle Sweeney in a trade with the Boston Cannons. On Wednesday, Major League Lacrosse held its Supplemental Draft which is designed to bolster team’s rosters from 23 to 35 players.
