PHOTOS: St. Joseph’s vs. Drexel

We dug back in our library of unpublished photos from this past spring and found this game from Franklin Field, where the St. Joseph’s Hawks defeated the Drexel Dragons 10-9 during the Philly 4 Lacrosse Classic. Each team finished that tournament 1-1, with St. Joe’s later falling to Penn, and Drexel beating Villanova. That tournament was held just before COVID-19 forced the cancellation of the rest of the NCAA season.

NLL: Rush ground Wings 15-10

Saturday night the Saskatchewan Rush (6-2) thumped the Philadelphia Wings (7-4) 15-10 in front of 9,683 fans at the Wells Fargo Center in South Philadelphia. With the victory the Rush improved to 5-0 on the road this season. The Rush have scored 31 total goals in the last two road games. Last week they defeated Halifax 16-15 in overtime. NCAA: Parella sets record in Hofstra win over Drexel

19-11 was the score as the Hofstra Pride (11-6, 4-2) defeated the Drexel Dragons (6-10, 1-5) in CAA play on Saturday at Vidas Field, spoiling the Dragons’ final contest and annual senior day. Hofstra now enters the CAA tournament on a two-game winning streak to face Towson in the semi-finals on Friday. They lost a close 13-12 game to the Tigers just two weeks ago.
