The Langley Thunder pleased to announce an expanded role for Les Wingrove. Effective immediately, Les will be taking over as one of the team’s Governors as well as Assistant General Manager. The role of Assistant General Manager was previously occupied by Gerry Van Beek. Wingrove has been with the Thunder since July of 2012 when he came on board as the Director of Scouting and Special Projects. He previously was the General Manager of the Coquitlam Adanacs and brings a wealth of lacrosse experience to the position.
On behalf of the Langley Thunder players and staff, we would like to thank Gerry for his work with the club including helping them win two Western Lacrosse Association Championships in 2011 and 2012. Van Beek had been with the club for the past eight years in a variety of roles including Coach, Assistant Coach, Assistant General Manager, General Manager and Governor.
