Sources have confirmed to In Lacrosse We Trust earlier reports of a three way trade with the New York Lizards, Boston Cannons and Charlotte Hounds.
The Lizards are bringing back Stephen Berger who they had sent to Charlotte before last season, the Hounds’ first season in the league. In return for the Hounds, they get Ryan Young and a second round pick while Boston gets former Virginia star Colin Briggs.
Briggs had been traded to New York in the off season as a part of the Zack Greer trade. The second year player scored six points in his eight games last season with Denver, but the midfielder’s new home will be in Boston.
Young played for the Lizards last season where he picked up 18 points. He joins a revamped Charlotte club that has brought in several young players after shipping away most of their 2012 attack unit.
Berger played for seven years for the Lizards before he had been traded to Charlotte before last season. With the Hounds last season, he scored 39 points, the most of any single season in his career.
