Luke Wiles has returned to the Philadelphia Wings after a stint with the Buffalo Bandits. We caught up with him about the upcoming season and his thoughts on being traded.
1. Thoughts on joining the Wings?
a. I am excited to be back where my career started. I feel like Philly has put together a very nice roster to contend for a championship and I am excited to be a piece of the puzzle.
2. Last season you struggled at times, what do you think you can do to improve?
a. Thanks for bringing up my struggles from last year, hahaha! I think as a player you can always improve. Last year I had a lot of stuff working against me but feel with the hard work I am putting in, I will return to top form.
3. Describe your time with the Bandits.
a. My time with the Bandits was good. It had its ups and downs but I have some great friends in that locker room and after I play for every team in the league I will become close with everyone, hahaha! Until we get on the floor, then I have a job to do.
4. What do you look forward to the most with Philly?
a. I look forward to the first day of camp. I love the city of Philadelphia, I met my wife there the year I got drafted. I think this group of men can be special. The team is huge, I might be the runt of the litter on the team but I’m ok with that.
5. Was this a move you requested/pulled for?
a. This was not a move I pulled for. I currently work in Buffalo with a strong up and coming company. It’s the way sports work. It is a business and I have learned to not be surprised by anything and expect the unexpected.
