The Ohio Machine and Boston Cannons have executed a traded that will see D Brian Farrell go to Ohio in exchange for D Diogo Godoi and the Machine’s natural third round selection (No. 17 overall) in the 2014 MLL Collegiate Draft
Selected out of the University of Maryland in the second round of the 2011 Collegiate Draft (No. 12 overall), Farrell played his entire career with the Cannons. He appeared in a total of 31 games over the past three seasons scoring 14 goals and recording seven assists for a total of 23 points, as well as gathering 74 groundballs. Farrell most recently was named to the 52-man U.S. Men’s National Team training roster, along with new Machine teammates Kyle Hartzell, Marcus Holman and Steele Stanwick.
Godoi was selected by Chicago in the third round (No. 13 overall) of the 2010 Collegiate Draft. He spent his first season with Chicago and the following two with the Rochester Rattlers before being picked up by the Machine in the 2013 Supplemental Draft. He appeared in a total 28 games recording 36 ground balls in his four-year career.
