The Colorado Mammoth announced today that forward Adam Jones, the 2012 National Lacrosse League Rookie of the Year, has re-signed with the team. Jones, 23, led all rookies in points (76) and assists (47), and scored the second-most goals (29) among first-year players.
“Adam put the league on notice in 2012 that he is one of the most-gifted young offensive players in the sport,” said Mammoth president & general manager Steve Govett. “We have great expectations for him.”
Jones, the third-overall pick in the 2011 NLL Entry Draft, was named the NLL’s Rookie of the Month in January and March. He also garnered three NLL Rookie of the Week honors this past season.
