Maryland had a convincing 11-4 win over Princeton Saturday which put their record at 4-1 while giving Princeton their first loss after they started the season out with three wins. Sophomore Matt Rambo had another strong game scoring three goals for the second time this season. Rambo is leading the Terps with fifteen points in 2015.
In this game Rambo started off the goal scoring after getting the pass from Henry West . Jake Frocarro scored for Princeton to tie thing up in the first. West and Rambo each scored goals in the 2nd to put Maryland up by one going into halftime. West scored his second goal and third point of the game to give his team the 4-2 lead.
Princeton scored after to only be down 4-3 but then Dylan Maltz scored to start a six goal run. Jay Carlon had a two goal game while four other plays each recorded a point including MLL drafted player Joe Locasio who got a goal. Maryland scored seven out of the games last eight goals to get the victory. For Princeton Gavin Mcbride Sam Gravitte each goal one apiece. Princeton also did not have one assisted goal in this game and
First year starting goalie Kyle Bernlohr made twelve saves for Maryland while the Tigers net minder made Eric Sanschagrin had eight. Maryland will take on Villanova next Saturday while Princeton will face UPenn in their first Ivy League match up of 2015.
