The Hamilton Nationals are off to a franchise best 6-2 start and currently sit in second place in the MLL at the All Star Break. The Nationals success has not gone unnoticed though as five National’s players were selected to the all star game.
1.Kevin Crowley: This will be Crowley’s first ever all-star appearance. Crowley leads the MLL in scoring with 35 points and leads the league in goals with 25.
2. Joe Walter: This will mark Walters sixth all-star appearance. Walters sits sixth in league scoring with 25 points. Walters ranks second on the Nationals in scoring and is the teams all time leader in goals, assist, and points.
3. Brodie Merrill: This will be Merrill eighth all-star game selection. The defenseman has 45 loose balls which is good for sixth in the MLL. Merrill is a six time winner of the MLL Warrior Defensive Player of the year along with being the league’s all time leader in loose balls.
4. Brett Queener: This will be Queener’s fourth all-star appearance. The Nationals goalie leads the league in save percentage with a .620 save percentage and has a 4-1 record this season. Queener sits third in the league for goals against average with an 11.26 G.A.A.
5. Kevin Cunningham: This will All-Star debut for the rookie. Cunningham has had a phenomenal rookie year posting fifteen assists and ranking third in team scoring with 23 points.
