What an exciting weekend of lacrosse action. We end it all with the Chesapeake Bayhawks as our league champions after a huge comeback from the Denver Outlaws the day before. We saw the MLL MVP get injured and miss the end of the game, and we saw new heroes.
The Bayhawks won their league record fourth MLL championship and it was also their second in the past three years. They defeated Long Island in 2010.
Ben Rubeor was the MVP of the game, but it easily could have been Steven Brooks or Ben Hunt as well. Rubeor had an amazing weekend as well, and overall, the Bayhawks played as the best overall team in the playoffs.
Kip Turner was amazing in net again, standing on his head in the second half of their win against Boston and in their win yesterday against the Outlaws. He proved to be the best goaltender in the league.
Everyone at In Lacrosse We Trust congratulates the Chesapeake Bayhawks on their 2012 MLL Championship!
