Ben Rubeor MVP of Major League Lacrosse Championship

The Most Valuable Player award could have easily gone to Ben Hunt this MLL Championship Weekend. Or Kip Turner. But it is hard to argue against the award going to Ben Rubeor, MLL champion with the Chesapeake Bayhawks.

In the Championship game, Rubeor scored two goals and had no assists. He had four shots on goal, and picked up one ground ball. Yesterday against the Boston Cannons, he dominated, with six goals on just eight shots on net.

Rubeor played in thirteen games this season for the Bayhawks. He had sixteen goals on the year and four assists. He had twenty four points overall in the year.

This is Rubeor’s second championship, he was on the 2010 team that beat the Long Island Lizards in the finals. The most points he has ever scored in a season was twenty seven, which he had in twelve games last season.

Rubeor has always been a solid player for the Bayhawks, but after winning this MVP and the performance he had in these playoffs, he has proven himself as a Bayhawks star.
