The Florida Launch(3-1) take their winning streak of 3 games into Rochester for a showdown at Sahlen’s Stadium where the Rochester Rattlers(2-2) have yet to lose a contest this season (2-0). Florida is firing on all cylinders coming into this weekend following a big win on the road against Chesapeake prior to Memorial Day weekend.
Rochester seems to be going in another direction, ranked last in the league in Man-up opportunities, as well as Goals for on the man-up. Whether they’re being aggressive enough on offense to draw the penalties or not, when given the chance they’ve only cashed in on one EMO goal. Even with Joey Galloway in the net, who is one of the sharpest goalies to play, needs a more contributing offense. Averaging 8 goals in their last three games has got them two wins, but isn’t enough fire power to be around in September in this league.
Stan Ross’ club seems to be finding their identity, this young group of guys only know how to play one way. They play hard for a full 60 minutes and they all believe they can win, on any given weekend. We can expect much of the same from this group this Sunday.
Led by Garrett Thul, Casey Powell, and Brett Queener, you better believe this group is prepared as much as anyone to play. Those players are born leaders, Florida is lucky enough to have three guys like that around their organization all the time.
Expect a new face or two this weekend with the College season being over with. One face we can expect is Miles Thompson. Miles makes his debut with the Rattlers this Sunday.
Face off is set for 1 P.M. Sunday, June 1st at Sahlens Stadium. Don’t miss the action!
