There are several playoff scenarios in play this week in Major League Lacrosse, and we have updating team notes and what needs to happen.
Hamilton Nationals: With a win over the Charlotte Hounds, they will clinch the second seed in the playoffs. They can also clinch with a loss from the Chesapeake Bayhawks.
Boston Cannons: If the Hounds win this week and the Cannons fall to the 1-11 Ohio Machine, they will be eliminated from playoff contention. Paul Rabil is also playing through injury.
Chalrotte Hounds: The Hounds waived midfielder Chris Mattes. They can clinch a playoff spot with a win and a Cannons loss.
New York Lizards: This week the Lizards picked up midfielder Doug Shanahan as a free agent. Head coach Joe Spallina hinted that there will be several new faces with the Lizards this weekend.
Rochester Rattlers: Goaltender Jason LaShomb was sent to the practice roster. They also activated Brett Schmidt from the college inactive list.
Ohio Machine: Connor Martin was placed on the Injured Reserve for the third time this season. They also recalled Stefan Schroder from the practice roster.
Chesapeake Bayhawks: This week head coach Dave Cottle said he didn’t think Kip Turner played very well and needs to improve this week.
