The Princeton Tigers are looking to improve on their 9-6 season starting with their home opener on February 22nd at 1 PM when they host Hofstra. Last season, the Tigers advanced to the IVY League Tournament Championship game but fell to the Yale Bulldogs 12-8 on May 5th.
The Tigers will rely heavily on the MLL’s #1 overall pick in the 2014 Collegiate Draft; midfielder Tom Schreiber who led the team with 28 goals and 32 assists in 15 games last year. Junior attackman Mike MacDonald from Georgetown, ON will be looked upon to lead the attack unit for the Tigers. . The Trinity Pawling Alumni 11’ finished second in team scoring with 59 points (43G, 16A).
Freshman midfielder Zach Currier out of Peterborough, ON will be a valued asset to the Tigers roster this season. The Culver Military Academy graduate can transition the ball up the field quickly and will be an offensive threat with his quick feet and unbelievable hands.
Princeton will face their biggest challenge on March 7th when they host North Carolina at 5:30 PM. Other notable games to watch closely are March 1st vs Johns Hopkins and April 26th when they travel to Bethpage, NY to take on Cornell.
