As the new year hits the University of Massachusetts, the only thing Minutemen fans can look forward to is a new start. After the team finished the season, last year, with a 1-4 conference record, the team is ready to turn things around.
The team has brought in the two New Hampshire studs, Buddy Carr and Dom St. Laurent. With the added offense and last years leading scorer, Nick Mariano, it will be interesting to see how the team will look on the attack.
As for St. John’s they are experiencing a serious riptide of graduates. The Red Storm lost their top 4 scorers going into the 2015 season. The remaining leading goal scorer is Stefan Diachenko tallied 21 points last season.
As a result, UMass will be going into this exhibition game with a chip on the shoulder from last season. The Minutemen will play their 2015 exhibition opener on Saturday the 24th at St. John’s.
