The Nittany Lions will host Dartmouth on Tuesday night, hoping to redeem themselves after a tough loss to No.14 UMass on Saturday.
Dartmouth has not had a game since March 1st, when they came out with a win over Sacred Heart. Last match, the score was tied in the middle of the fourth. Senior Attackman, Mike Olentine scored the eventual game winning goal, after a huge rally by Dartmouth. Freshman Attackman Wiley Osborne had another standout game, scoring a hat trick for Dartmouth. The team has a strong and agile offense, and they will definitely be using their scorers to their full potential Tuesday night against the Nittany Lions.
The Nittany Lions didn’t perform as well as usual, but despite the loss, they had a decent game. Sophomore TJ Sanders scored a career-high four points, and faceoff specialist, Drake Kreinz led in faceoff wins. If the Lions utilize their defense, and Senior Goalkeeper Austin Kaut remains diligent, PSU should be ready to take on Dartmouth.
Between the awesome scoring ability of Dartmouth, and State’s skillful defense, Tuesday night will certainly be a match to watch this week.
