With the NLL draft taking place tonight here is a quick preview of the top five prospects in the 2013 draft.
1.Logan Schuss- Schuss made a name for himself this summer as has won the WLA’s rookie of the year award. Schuss carried the Salmonbellies offense this past year as he notched 28 goals and 22 assists in ten games this season. Schuss will make a great addition to any team as he has proven he can be a dual threat on offense.
2. Jason Noble- Noble like Schuss made a name for himself this summer by winning the MSL rookie of the year award. Noble was lights out on defense for the Kitchener Waterloo Kodiaks. Along with his defensive prowess he also showed a knack for the transition game scoring 8 goals and 5 assists.
3. Robert Church- Chruch this past summer played for the Burnaby Lakers and had a solid season. Church posted a respectable 12 goals and 21 assists for 33 points in the regular season this year and helped power the Lakers to the playoffs. In the playoffs Church showed his full potential as he led the Lakers in points as he had 6 goal and 7 assists for 13 points in just four games. Teams may need to wait for Church to develop a little but he will be worth the wait.
4. Tor Reinholdt- Reinholdt is defensive rock and was major part of the Langley Thunder’s playoff run. Reinholdt has proven that he can shut team’s best player down and he will give any NLL team a boost on defense.
5.Scott Jones- Jones arguably should be ranked higher on this list but as of now he will be a steal at number five. Jones played for the Burnaby Lakers this summer notching 27 goals and 38 assists for 65 points. Jones has proven he has an offensive touch and will quickly find himself being a key part of any NLL team’s offense.
