This summer, we will examine the top 50 players from the 2015 NLL season. Now, that doesn’t mean the best players, period, it just means who played the best this past season. The top 50 were voted on and decided by members of our NLL staff. Any questions, tweet to @LacrosseWeTrust.
Jordan MacIntosh
2015 Team: Minnesota Swarm
Position: Transition
Status: Restricted Free Agent
Draft Year: 2011
2015 Stats: 48 points, 24 caused turnovers, 14 penalty minutes, 171 loose balls
Quotes: “MacIntosh has been a cornerstone for the Swarm brand of lacrosse since he arrived in MSP. JMac stretches the floor with ease and has finishing touch when he gets there. Faceoff duty is a specialty but less time in the circle could be a benefit for Minny in the long run if they want to max out his talent elsewhere. That means PP and PK time for this jack of all trades player who can pretty much do it all.”- former Swarm GM Marty O’Neill on ILIndoor.com

Jordan MacIntosh has been one of the top transition players in the NLL since his rookie season. The 6’1, 210 lbs 2013 NLL transition man of the year has gotten better almost every season in the league, despite being with a struggling team.
In 2015 his point total went down, dipping to 48 points from 61 the year before. However, the Swarm were really bad in 2015 and never really had a shot at the playoffs. He played in 17 of their 18 games with a team that saw injury woes and players holding out.
MacIntosh had some big games in 2015. Against the Edmonton Rush on April 25th, he had six points, contributing to each of the Swarm’s goals and scoring half of them. He scored five points on four occasions; 1/10 vs Edmonton, 1/24 vs New England, 3/14 vs New England, and 3/29 vs New England (he might have liked playing against New England).
In 2015, MacIntosh led the Swarm with 171 loose balls, 24 caused turnovers, and 168 faceoff victories. According to SwarmItUp.com, he also became the 5th player in franchise history to reach 89 games. He is the Swarm all time leader in faceoff wins and loose balls.
The Swarm will be in Georgia next season, and their roster will be revamped with rookies and young players. As a restricted free agent, MacIntosh could move on. Most RFAs do not, but being in a new, exotic location, it could be the case.
