The NCAA lacrosse season is almost over. It seemed like yesterday team’s were practicing in sweatshirts and sweatpants in frigid temperatures as they began their quest to the NCAA Tournament. As the lacrosse season heads into the conference tournaments and eventually the NCAA Tournament, some players will be playing their last lacrosse games ever while others will be moving onto the MLL.
While Miles Thompson, Kieran McArdle and Jordan Wolf have all had spectacular seasons thus far, how have the rest of this year’s crop of MLL draftees done recently?
Josh Dionne, A, Duke—Dionne’s play has really started to improve over his last four games. He has 11 goals and one assist during that time span and had three goals and an assist against Syracuse in the Blue Devils ACC Tournament loss.
Miles Thompson, A, Albany—Thompson currently ranks second in the nation with 90 points. In his last two games against Siena and Binghamton, he has combined for 13 points! He has six goals against Siena while he had three goals and two assists against Binghamton.

Ward was his usual self as Loyola won the Patriot League Tournament this past week. He combined for nine points in two games against Colgate and Lehigh. He scored three goals and handed out six assists.
Jordan Wolf, A, Duke—Wolf continues to be the tone setter on offense for the Blue Devils. On the season, he has 72 points which ranks him at No. 5 in the nation. He has an outside shot of ending up No. 1 if Albany doesn’t make the NCAA Tournament. Even though the Blue Devils lost to Syracuse in a thriller, it wasn’t because of Wolf who had one goal and four assists.
Derek Maltz, A, Syracuse—Maltz has been on and off all season for the Orange. He has been scoreless in four games this season but he showed up for the Orange in the ACC Tournament. Against Duke he had two goals and in the ACC Championship game he scored two goals and handed out an assist.
