In an amazing comeback, the Denver Outlaws defeated the Long Island Lizards, by a score of 13-12.
The game started out all Lizards, with them taking a 7-1 and a 12-4 lead. The Outlaws would get red hot at the end of the third and into the fourth quarter, as they would come all the way back to tie it at twelve in the early fourth.
To start, Long Island was having every bounce go their way. Drew Adams was making every save and Jesse Schwartzman was getting visibly frustrated in net for the Outlaws.
Chris Bocklet was the one to carry Denver, scoring five late goals to help the Outlaws tie things up. Peet Poillon would also score three in the third and fourth.
Denver scored just one goal each in the first and second quarters, in a dominant showing by the Lizards. With a little over six minutes left in the game, Jeremy Sieverts scored the thirteenth goal for the Outlaws, their go ahead goal.
There would be no more scoring, as the Outlaws would run out the clock while the final seconds ticked away. The Outlaws will face off with the winner of the Boston Cannons vs Chesapeake Bayhawks game.
