Outlaws Take on Bayhawks For Championship

Today, the Denver Outlaws look for their first Major League Lacrosse championship as the Chesapeake Bayhawks look for their record fourth. Both clubs picked up wins yesterday to advance to the Championship game.

The Outlaws came back from down 12-3 against the Long Island Lizards yesterday while the Bayhawks defeated the Boston Cannons in dominant fashion.

Denver and Chesapeake split in the regular season. The Bayhawks won by a couple of goals on June 2nd, and the Outlaws won on the last day of the season to clinch the top seed.

The big question today will be, is Brendan Mundorf in the lineup? He missed the game yesterday with an ankle injury. They saw Chris Bocklet and Peet Poillon step up, but can they survive without Mundorf twice?

Mundorf will be a game time decision and will likely be decided in warmups. Kip Turner was dominant for the Hawks yesterday, while Jesse Schwartzman struggled early but rebounded late.

Will the Outlaws get over the hump and win it all? Or will the Bayhawks make history? We will know tonight after the game, at 3pm on ESPN2.
