Kyle Harrison’s last game at Homewood Field ended in an 11-9 loss to Chaos, but with his family in attendance for post-game hugs, it wasn’t all bad. The veteran forward will retire after this PLL season, so it was a special game.
But, the Redwoods fall to 2-2 on the season, and the Chaos, troublemakers in last year’s playoffs, picked up their first win.
It was a tightly contested first half. The Redwoods were up 4-3, but Dhane Smith tied the game before halftime after a nice fake on Tim Troutner.
Mac O’Keefe broke the tie after halftime, and then did so again late in the game to give Chaos the 11-9 win with a 2-pointer.
Chaos also had strong offensive showings from Josh Byrne and Ryan Smith (2G each) and Dhane Smith (1G, 2A). Jake Froccaro contributed four assists.
Myles Jones and Ryder Garnsey each had two goals for Redwoods. TD Ierlan dominated at the X, winning 17 of 22 faceoffs.
