PLL: MVP Williams scores six as Whipsnakes repeat as champions

August 10, 2020

Sunday’s PLL championship was Whipsnakes LC’s to lose, and had it not been for a massive offensive outburst in the fourth quarter, they would have. But a 10-0 run was more than enough to power them past Chaos LC 12-6 for their second consecutive championship title. Zed Williams scored five of his six goals in the final quarter including four in a span of 1:56. He was named the series’…

PLL: Chaos in control after 13-9 win over Archers in semi-finals

August 8, 2020

A quiver holds an archer’s arrows, but a quiver can also be a reaction from panic or fear. Thursday night in the PLL semi-finals Chaos LC made the Archers LC quiver from panic as the number seven seed controlled the entire game. The Archers didn’t have enough arrows in their own quivers to fight back, falling 13-9 to Chaos. Blaze Riorden had another strong game for Chaos, stopping 18 shots….

August 5, 2020

Much like 2020, today’s game was all Chaos as they defeated Chrome 19-14 in the PLL’s highest scoring battle of the season. “We like being the underdogs,” is what one microphone picked up on the sidelines of Chaos LC. Chaos sent Chrome packing in a win or go home elimination game. Chaos went up 5-4 in the first. However, the second quarter saw them score seven points to the two…

PLL: Currier contributes hat trick in Waterdogs’ first win

August 2, 2020

With each PLL team making Tuesday’s elimination round, it wasn’t actually necessary for a team to get any wins in group play.  Yeah, okay, I laughed out loud at that sentence, too. This is lacrosse – there’s so much pride on the line and passion for the game that no team would be content to just coast through and wait to strike in the playoffs. But Chaos LC will have…

PLL: Whipsnakes keep rolling with win over Chaos

August 1, 2020

The Whipsnakes move to 3-0 and Chaos drops to 0-3 when the Whipsnakes defeated Chaos 12-7 in group play on Friday evening at Zions Bank Stadium in Herriman, Utah. The Whipsnakes slithered away with the game one goal at a time in what was a selfless attack mode. It didn’t matter who scored the goals for the Whipsnakes as long as they were getting scored. Such spread out and even…

PLL: Redwoods win over Chaos in lowest-scoring PLL game

July 30, 2020

The Premier Lacrosse League Championship Series rolled on in Utah on Wednesday night as the Redwoods and Chaos renewed their rivalry from the 2019 playoffs. The matchup promised playoff intensity as both teams entered the game winless. The Redwoods found out prior to the game they’d be without defensive star Garrett Epple who was suspended one game. PLL: Chrome celebrates first victory

July 11, 2019

The PLL’s Chrome LC finally found itself with a win and it came at the expense of Chaos on Sunday 19-11. It was Chrome’s first victory of the season – and they now claim the most goals in a single game in the PLL’s short history. Now perhaps, Chrome should be called Team Jordan as Jordan MacIntosh and Jordan Wolf combined for 13 points in the victory. Despite the show…

PLL Week 4: Archers succumb to Chaos

June 29, 2019

Even though it appeared that Tom Schreiber was unstoppable to anyone other than himself, that turned out to be untrue. Apparently Schreiber can be controlled by the Chaos. He was held to one goal and two assists when the Archers LC battled Chaos last weekend at Homewood Field. Team Chaos walked away with a 14-13 win. The Maryland and Hopkins fans came out in force the night before. Those who…

PLL: Week 3 leaders

June 23, 2019

Tom Schreiber is seemingly as unstoppable in the Premier Lacrosse League as he was in Major League Lacrosse and as he is in the National Lacrosse League. In fact, the only time Schreiber appears able to be stopped is when his body is working against him and he gets injured. Schreiber is averaging 7.5 points per game in the PLL. His shots are on point. However, there are two other…
