The Rochester Rattlers evened their record to 3-3 with a win over the now 1-5 Boston Cannons in Atlanta on Friday night.Over 4,000 fans watched the first ever Major League Lacrosse game in Atlanta, and they got to see a good one. Jordan MacIntosh scored four goals on the Rattlers side and was named player of the game.
Ned Crotty scored to make it 13-12 Cannons late and then MacIntosh tied it at 13 all. John Ranagan took the lead before Matt Poskay tied it up. Mike DeNapoli scored the game winner with under a minute left while MacIntosh added insurance to give Rochester their second straight win.
Meanwhile, the Cannons have lost their last two and only one team trails them for worst record in the league. The Cannons travel to Charlotte next week desperate, as they need to win almost their remaining games to have a shot at the playoffs.
Bpth teams had 36 shots on net. Pat Heim and Paul Rabil led the Cannons with four points each MacIntosh and Crotty each had four goals for the Rattlers while Ranagan scored three.
Jordan Burke made 21 saves for the Cannons while allowing 15 goals (one two pointer) and John Galloway made 23 saves and allowed 13 goals, one two pointer.
